Visit to Kwakwaka’wakw terriory

I was very honoured to be hosted in North Vancouver Island, in beautiful Kwakwaka’wakw territory, to talk with folks about how to confront residential school denialism. It was really energizing - and I am very grateful to have stayed at Cluxewe and to have received a gorgeous eagle paddle by Stephen Hunt (symbolizing the need to pull together). Thanks to Robin Folvik, by GHC comrade, for organizing. I also had the opportunity to visit ‘Yalis, Alert Bay, where my family member attending the St Michael’s Indian Residential School. It was a powerful trip.
